Trumpet Winsock v4.0 is a fully-featured 32-bit dialler used with Windows 95/98. It is used for dialling into your local service provider to connect you to the Internet. It is also a Winsock v1.1 compliant TCP/IP stack.

Trumpet Winsock v3.0 is a combined 16-bit/Windows 95 release, containing a 32-bit layer, however it is not a full 32-bit version. This 32-bit layer is Windows 95 specific, consequently it will only run 32-bit applications in conjunction with Windows 95. Please be aware, that when using other operating systems, such as Windows NT, it will only be able to handle a 16-bit winsock application.
