Trumpet Winsock 4.0 - Error Messages

  1. Modem Not Responding

    • Check that the correct modem driver is being used.
    • Download an updated version if required.
    • Check with other applications (e.g., Modem Diagnostics, Hyperterminal) that the modem is responding.

  2. No Free Dialler Interfaces

    This usually indicates that you already have the Trumpet Dialler open

    • Check in the System Tray if the Trumpet Dialler is already open if so,
    • Double click on the Trumpet Dialler icon in the system tray to restore it to the normal window.

  3. No Dialler Interface

    This usually indicates you have not selected any modem as an interface.

    To add a modem as an interface, you will need to open the Trumpet Winsock manager and right-click in the interface box and select the correct interface (modem) to use.

  4. TAPI Errors

    These errors are shown in the Dialler whenever there is an applicable error with the modem handling.

  5. Demonstration has expired - Please Register

    This indicates that your demonstration period has expired and you should register your copy of the Trumpet Winsock in order to continue using it. There is a grace period of 14 days for you to be able to do this.

  6. This software has expired - download a new version

    This indicates that your evaluation period has expired and you have not yet registered your copy of the Trumpet Winsock.

    You will need to download a new version in order to receive another 30 day evaluation period.
